As a solopreneur at present (that’s shifting shortly), building this website was such an immersive task. I.e, it took a lot of time.
It took research.
Research, and more research and content creation. The challenge was not the content or the web copy ( which we provide as services) but the functionality of the website features.
What do I mean?
Well, this website features no templates because from scratch it was built. For a swift building of a website, templates ease the burden. However, during the developmental stage, the templates I selected never properly presented themself. It was super annoying and very off-putting.
Why?
That meant more time needed to be dedicated. This website was not going to be built by itself. By the grace of God, there was another way.
It totally saved me from a nightmare of a process, but I’ll let you in on the deeds another time.
But that was just the beginning! I thought success; yet, the unexpected just continued to follow. I had accidentally overridden the site design. And unlike the call to Jesus, that site design was not to be redeemed.
Soon after, uploading images became an unnecessary dimensions disaster. Then months later, near to the launch day, the awareness of something else struck me. I discovered upon testing that the site was not automatically responsive.
The horror of being duped by technology offers. Yup. The horrors. It was like creating almost another website. That is if I wanted this website to be a viewable experience across all devices!
And Success Finally Came!
Imagine it! Had I given up, you would not be here and reading this right now. Here is some encouragement, though the obstacles of the ‘Building’ are plenty, keep walking through them. There is no need to give up until you’ve given it all you’ve got. When you’ve exhausted all your options, you can rest assured in the next decision you make.
